Circle lens review: G&G Natural Brown

Hello~!

Today I'll review brown circle lenses; G&G Natural Brown. I got these as a free gift from PinkyParadise (it was some sort of a Christmas campaign, this lens review is non-sponsored) and wanted to try them out asap - yet my disappointment level rose over 9000 when wearing these. Read further and you will know why!

The vials of the lenses.

The lenses in their vials.
Base curve: 8,9 mm
Diameter: 14,5 mm
Water content: 38 %
Life span: 1 year

As you can see, these lenses aren't that big - at least not according to the measures. These felt bigger than my EOS New Adult Red lenses when I inserted these into my eyes. For some reason my left eye felt quite irritated for a while and the lens felt like it could pop out of my eye every now and then. Luckily it settled after a while. I had no problems inserting the right lens.
After opening the vials I let these soak in a new solution over the night since the original solution (in the vials) makes at least my eyes water and hurt. I don't know if it does the same to your eyes or not but I definitely don't recommend testing it.

One lens in to show you the enlargement.
These aren't the most enlarging lenses I've had but the enlargement is still noticeable.

At first these lenses were quite comfortable to wear - I was able to drive a car, take pictures of my friend etc. Outdoors these didn't blur my vision that much; that problem came into existence indoors. Every now and then my vision was quite blurred, like I would have been looking at the world through the fog. I was able to wear these for 4 hours - and that's the definite maximum since these dry surprisingly fast (at least in my eyes).

The design of the lenses is quite basic and natural. Because of that these might not be the best choice for cosplay lenses but if you want lenses which you would wear in daily situations without getting odd looks, these might be a good choice for that. There are darker and lighter shades of brown in these lenses - and in the middle (surrounding the iris) there are some black dots. I guess that they're supposed to help the lens color to blend with the natural eye color (which in my case is a mixture of green, gray and blue - in other words my eyes are light-colored). Quite basic design, nothing bad to say about it.

Like I said there are different shades of brown in these lenses. That makes these look pretty vibrant, natural and lively! However, these lenses aren't too pigmented and they show my real eye color through pretty well (as you can see from the pics below). :/ Too bad, these lenses are quite beautiful in their own simple way.

And the pictures~!

These were taken on a cloudy day in February.
The close-up pictures aren't edited in any way.

I'm sorry that I didn't get better "staring into the sun"-pictures, it was really clouded...

  • The color is 7/10. Many shades of brown make these look very vibrant and lively.
  • The design is 8/10. Very basic design. The black dots in the middle earn some bonus points for these lenses.
  • I think that the opacity is 5/10. In some lights these actually look brown but in most lights my own eye color shows through A LOT. These could look more brown in darker eyes.
  • The comfort... 3/10. In the end, when I finally decided to take these off, my eyes were bloodshot and there was a red ring surrounding my iris. Indoors these blurred my vision quite much.
  • The naturalness is 7/10. These look pretty natural - I don't think that I'd get weird looks if I inserted these into my eyes and went to a shop or something.
  • The enlargement is 4/10. Like my EOS New Adult Red lenses, these aren't very enlarging.

There it is~!

  1. Despite the simple design I actually really like how these look. I also think that you look very pretty with brown lenses!
Thanks for reviewing, as always! ♥ I enjoy reading your reviews ~

Sad to hear that these make your eyes bloodshot afterwards, that's not good. :'( I don't think I've had that problem, at least not yet and I'm happy about it, especially considering how many lenses I've reviewed. Hope I don't run into the bloodshot effect anytime soon because I still have a loooooot of lenses to review. x)

      You're welcome! ♥ Thanks~!

      Yeah, the bloodshot effect was something I neither expected nor wanted to happen... ;__;
I hope that you won't run into the bloodshot effect at all, it's everything but comfortable...

And that's great, your reviews are always nice to read~! :'3
