Circle lens review: G&G BT02 Violet

Hello everyone!

So... To be honest, the pictures in this post are almost two years old. I had taken these pictures probably in July 2017 but simply forgot that they exist. Oops. ^^""
This circle lens review is non-sponsored by any circle lens store.

I think I got these lenses from Frozen Angel since he said he didn't need them anymore. I was about to use these for my OC cosplay but, in the end, I only took the pictures for this review. But yes, let me represent you: G&G BT02 Violet!

I don't, sadly, have any photos of the vials anymore - I used to have but I guess I've deleted them accidentally at some point. :/ Anyway, all the pictures in this post © me.

One lens in.
  Diameter: 14 mm
Base curve: 8.6mm
Water content: 38%
Life span: 1 year

So, according to the measures these are exactly alike with the EOS New Adult Red lenses I've reviewed in the past. Still, at least in my opinion, they look a lot bigger in the eye than the lenses of the New Adult series. These were still as easy to insert into the eyes as the already mentioned lenses - and these were probably my most comfortable G&G lenses by far. If I remember correctly, I didn't even feel these in my eyes that much! I'm not going to say much about the comfort though, it's been almost two years I took these pictures and thus my memory could easily fail me.
After opening the vials I let these soak in a new solution over the night since the original solution (in the vials) makes at least my eyes water and hurt. I don't know if it does the same to your eyes or not but I definitely don't recommend testing it.

These are definitely not the lenses I'd pick if I cosplayed a moe character. The enlargement effect is there but it's not too noticeable if you ask me. Well, I knew that from the start since the measurements aren't that big - and if you want to cosplay a character with violet, smallish eyes, I'd recommend these lenses! :) The size of these is pretty natural.

The color and design of these lenses are super awesome. The main color is pretty deep purple smoke on the water  and the black details definitely look like icicles - they're very sharp and very thin. Some of these black details reach further towards the center of the lens meanwhile the other half of them stays very close to the outer edge of the lens. In my opinion they bring certain depth to these lenses since the color, even though it's very pretty, doesn't sadly have that many shades of violet. Without the black details these could have a bit of a "Paint effect" look so the black icicles definitely save these lenses from looking boring and less vibrant. I also like the thick, black limbal rim - it's one of the things that makes these lenses look quite cool!

But now, some pictures~!

These pictures were taken on a semi-cloudy day in July 2017.
They are not edited in any way.

Yellow light.

With a flash.

Natural light, indoors.

Bad bathroom light.
Gazing at the bit cloudy sun.
There will be no "back against the sun" picture this time since the quality was even more hideous than in these pictures. :I And I'm very sorry about the quality, I know that it's very hideous...

Distance pic. I want that hair style back ;__;

  • I'm pretty much in love with the color but there's one thing bothering me; in some lights they seem more blue than violet. I'd still rate it 8,5/10 since it's pretty beautiful anyway.
  • The design in my opinion is 10/10. It's very basic and that's exactly what makes them so beautiful. <3
  • I'd rate the opacity 9,5 - remember that I have light-colored eyes so I don't know if the opacity is that good with dark eyes.
  • I'm not saying anything about the comfort. I took these pictures almost two years ago and I have pretty much no idea what I did two days ago so... ^^'
  • I think that the naturalness is 4/10. The design is quite natural, the color not so much.
  • The enlargement isn't that great - I'd say 3,5/10. If you're looking for the moe eye effect, these lenses are not for you.
So, here it is~!

At the end of the month I will finally have money to buy some lens solution so stay tuned - I have a shitload of lenses to review! :D
