Hello~! Yeah, in the end I decided to publish my Espeon photoshoot pics first - figured it would be nice to keep the chronological order. I guess it's pretty obvious by now but I'm a Pokémon fan, been since childhood. Eevee and its eeveelutions have always been among my favorites, my ultimate favorite of them being Vaporeon. And when it comes to the day and night buddies... To be honest I prefer Umbreon to Espeon but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have had fun cosplaying the latter - definitely will again in the future! I just need to fix that dress first; even though it is very pretty and comfortable to wear that doesn't change the fact that its upper part is way too big for me which, of course, had an effect on how I could pose etc. But definitely will do that so I can cosplay Espeon again! 💜
I also love how dream-like the photos turned out... Or, at least most of them, prepare for the derps at the end of this post :'D
Despite being cremated alive by the July sun I enjoyed this photoshoot a lot - the dress was pretty, my make-up for once didn't derp to Hell and back and the location into the bush we go was pretty much perfect for this one! 💜 ...well, speaking of derping though. My make-up didn't do that. I did. And here's the proof for that 😂

During this photoshoot I also realized how hard it is to smile in pics, like seriously! Smiling is something that doesn't really come naturally for me - and I don't really like my smile anyway - so this definitely was a challenge. It was a positive surprise and a huge relief to see how good these pics turned out to be!
As I mentioned in my Kummacon summary, we - meaning Shiro Samurai and I - had decided to take some "at least this shows we had costumes on lol" proof pictures but that kind of escalated to a 2 hour long photoshoot. I also mentioned that I would publish the pics soon so here they are~! I'm so happy how these turned out, especially considering that we had some problems during the photoshoot, such as finding good light conditions because the sunlight was very harsh etc.
I plan to photoshoot Dragonair again at some point (also known as when I actually get the wings attached to my wig so I can do more than just one pose); when that will be, that I don't know yet. I still haven't had a proper photoshoot of Alicia either due to lack of time, oops.
I would have loved to take more pictures by this lovely water area but harsh sunlight and water don't go too well together - I'm glad we got this one good pic at that location ;__; 💙
As you can see I couldn't take any other poses because, well, I couldn't move my hands since I was keeping the wings in their place. These pics are great but can't wait for taking more - after all Dragonair is one of my favorites so yes, I want more pics of this costume ^^ Oh! The wings and bracelet are made by Shiro Samurai (and some parts of the costume are borrowed from him), thank you so much! 💙
I may have had a huge cosplay crisis going on just a few days before the con but he solved it by suggesting swapping the Pokémon to another.

After this post back to the circle lens reviews it is - I'm seriously losing hope on sewing anything before Nekocon so yeah, sticking to the content I have a lot send help lol. Oh, and my next con will indeed be Nekocon in July - already looking forward to it! 🐱
Like I promised, here are my Kiki photoshoot pictures which were taken at Nekocon 2024. I have to admit that it was a bit difficult to figure out poses for Kiki since I didn't have any props etc. with me - however we got quite many good photos~!
I plan to photoshoot Kiki again in a different location, preferably with props which I'm still yet to make but I will get there eventually.

So now, there they are! Tbh cosplaying Kiki was pretty fun - actually I also cosplayed her at Matsucon 2024 too and even competed with the costume (more about that in the summary when I publish it)! I think this one will become one of my go-to costumes; the costume was comfortable to wear and I actually think I look decent in it even though looking cute isn't something that comes naturally for me.
The next post here will either be my Mericon 2024 summary or a circle lens review since I still have literally at least 20 of those to post soooo... We'll see which one it is! Likely the summary though; I would like to get back on schedule with these con summaries before the next con season starts lol.
I know I said in my last post that the next post would be my Nekocon 2024 summary. However, change of plans since I got my Alicia mini photoshoot pictures from my photographer (none other than Shiro Samurai, thank you once again <3) and decided to post these now!
I plan on photoshooting Alicia in the near future again since we were pretty short on time when we took the pics - hence why mini photoshoot. I think we literally had like 10 mins to take these pics so yeah, considering that we got surprisingly many good photos!

Even though I haven't written that many con summaries this year I attended many events in 2023 (I will publish those summaries next year - and also at least try to make blog posts more often since I've kind of miss writing these regularly). One of the events was Nekocon in Kuopio for which I made a new cosplay: my own design version of the VOCALOID Luka Megurine, more specifically her Just Be Friends version. Even though the costume isn't the best out there I still wanted to get some pics of it - and here they are!
Favorite even though I was literally just standing still and almost fell because of the high heels lol.
...and, well, of course there just happened to be a sign that was a bit too hilarious and I just had to have a picture taken with it.
(I think the sign was actually warning people not to park there or they´d get a fine.)

Originally I was supposed to write a separate WIP post about Alex Cloudmill's riding gear but shitty scheduling happened and I didn't have that much time to take WIP pics. :/ Luckily I managed to get some. Well, here's the reference picture:
As you can see, this is just a concept art and thus I have no idea if the costume will be the exact same in the game. Anyway, this was my reference picture (which I screenshot from Star Stable Online's Instagram account).
The costume is still missing some of the details, for example the belt and wool socks - I simply didn't have time for those.
I just want to thank my grandmother and godmother who gave me wonderful advice and prevented my sanity jumping out of the window. <3
Here are the pictures - I'll just leave them here since I don't have much to say about making this costume, except that it was kind of hard to make. ESPECIALLY FUNCTIONING RIDING PANTS FFS. It may look simple but trust me, especially the shirt was just a big puzzle at first :'D Sadly I don't have WIP pics of it. :c
And then: Yukicon 2019!
I begun my journey towards Hyvinkää on Friday, day before the actual convention. I had already decided to spend just one day at Yukicon since, well, I've been there quite many times and I have a feeling that I've pretty much seen it all... But despite that, this Yukicon was one of the best cons I've attended!
I stayed at Merezone's place since we had decided to host a lecture/panel about Star Stable Online and, well, it turned out to be a good idea that I spent the night at her place; you see, I had been in quite a hurry with making the lecture and... Well, when we opened it in PowerPoint it didn't look that good thank you so much LibreOffice. After an hour or so we were finally happy with how the lecture looked like visually so we could do something more important: play Detroit: Become Human. And I became addicted to it. :'D
We slept way too little but both of us managed to wake up in time. You know that feeling you can only describe as "a morning hangover"? If you know, then you know exactly how I felt while putting on my costume. Luckily Alex doesn't require that much make-up so dressing up as her was quite quick.
...pretty good thing since we left Merezone's apartment in a little hurry but we managed to catch our train and, in the end, weren't even about to miss it. Woop woop.
When we arrived at Pasila we walked our way to Kokoustamo and saw this growing queue of people who wanted to get in. I don't blame them, it was fairly cold outside. For a while we wondered if we should get in the line too but in the end we understood that people who worked for the con in one way or another could get past the queue and that's exactly what we did.
Inside we just went to fetch our panel holder badges (and Merezone fetched her AMV competition finalist badge too, of course) and then we went to wait for the opening ceremony of the con to begin. Truth to be told I hadn't been in any of those opening ceremonies before so it was quite interesting to go there. In the beginning of the ceremony I felt a little bit nauseous but luckily that feeling passed quite soon.
Our panel/lecture went very well! <3 Merezone also recorded it for her YouTube channel so here's the video! NOTE: we held the panel/lecture in Finnish since holding a panel in English is out of question at least for now.

After the lecture we went to eat something - we had access to the Green Room so we didn't have to take a walk any farther than that. We (or at least I) got something to eat and drink, and then we started talking about photographing our costumes. We checked the clock and we had some time before the AMV meeting was supposed to start - yes, I attended it even though I don't make anime music videos. Had fun there though, saw a couple of familiar faces which surprised me positively! :)

After the photoshoot (I froze my ass off) we went to the AMV meeting and pretty soon after that I was ready to get out of cosplay since my train back home was about to leave in an hour to so. When I went to change to casual outfit I bumped into Trixena from whom I bought Soul Calibur VI. She didn't need it, I felt like I definitely needed it in my life - problem solved!
We chatted for a little while before I had to leave and I left in quite a rush. The train station of Pasila isn't that familiar to me so it took a little while to figure out from which track my train would leave. In the end I found the right track and pretty soon the train arrived to bring me back home.
So, Yukicon 2019 was definitely worth visiting and I was very sad to hear that the event won't be held again, at least not as big event as it used to be. So, thank you Yukicon for many, many good years! <3
I have no idea which con I will attend next or which costume I'll make. I have a few costume ideas, for example Belle French from Once Upon a Time (and Zelena from the same series) but I have no idea if I'll make those costumes this year or not.
But I'll try to become more active here again~! I also got my photoshoot pictures from last Eura's Manga Day which, unfortunately, won't be organized this year at all but I have a good reason for that so yeah, maybe in the future!
